I recently saw this article about discrimination against women being shared a few times in my fb feed and I felt compelled to write something about it. I was surprised because the people who shared the article were seemingly intelligent men and women, able to recognize and resist propaganda and misleading, sexist/biased information.
Unfortunately, I do not have the time to write a real, full-blow article on the matter. I’ll play the role of a curator and just share some videos I’ve collected over the past 2, 3 years that will hopefully shed some light on the topic and open the eyes of men and women who’ve been so massively deluded by the mainstream media and the feminist movement.
I won’t go into details why using google’s auto-complete as a way of determining popular opnion is neither honest nor helpful to women because other people have already done that. Instead, I’ll just go over the core message they’re trying to shove down our throats.
In the Time.com article, there are 2 paragraphs that read:
Though women’s status across the world has improved over the last few decades, we’re still largely second-class citizens in comparison to men: we make less money, have more difficulty accessing education and affordable healthcare and face much more violence than our male counterparts.
To emphasize the extent of global gender inequality, UN Women–an arm of the U.N. that focuses on women’s issues–has created a powerful advertising campaign that uses data collected from Google on the most popular search terms. As it turns out, the most popular Google queries are indicative of entrenched sexist attitudes that still persist today.
I’d understand if the ad campaign or the article was targeted to women in specific countries or women living in areas with certain, predominantly misogynistic, religious background but that is not the case: It targets ALL WOMEN — GLOBALLY. If a western woman was to read this, she’d assume that it is about her. That this is, in fact, the World SHE is living in — a male dominated, patriarchal world full of oppression against women. Let me stop ranting and cut straight to the chase:
Myths about women discrimination:
Myth #1 – The wage gap – Women earn less than men
Myth #2 – There is a glass ceiling that women can’t break through at work
Myth #3 – Only women are being physically abused by men
We’re not talking about a few errors, we’re not talking about occasional lapses; we’re talking about a body of egregiously false information at the heart of the domestic violence movement
Myth #4 – Education is denied to only women because they are women
Myth #5 – Women are oppressed; Man are oppressors
Myth #6 – Men have all the power; Women don’t
The true color of feminism
Women are above men. Women = Men+
Men are disposable and just whining about nothing
Men should be ashamed of being male
(Not an actual transcript. Personal Notes.)
48:00 – Crime is ok. Sex is not. Sex is dirty and worse than violence and killing. Yet man are expected to initiate sex.
Shaming of man for feeling sexual. If you are disposable you are wonderful. Disposability is a compensation for your shame and moral inferiority.
You have to perform for her and win her approval, risk your life for her, and then you’ll be worthy of equality to her.
51:30 – Young man: Is it OK to feel Sexual? Society – IT’S NOT OK!
54:00 – The feminisation of man (men are supposed to be more like women) If we live in a feminine world, anything that is masculine is equal to “What’s wrong with you?”
55:30 – Unique self
55:55 – You have a full unique authenticity independent of getting the girl.
56:20 – Uniqueness is sexy: attract your appropriate partner by living your life. BE IN YOUR GAME.
Feminism = Male Shame
